Oil Paintings

Long about May of 2016 I decided to make the leap from Acrylics to Oils. Many of my painter friends had, for months or even years, been beckoning me to join the "dark side". It has been an interesting journey. At first, I simply painted in my old acrylic style using oil paints. This, I suppose, was to be expected. With the exception of painting parties and classes, I limited myself to oils for the entire Summer and Fall. I've learned a great deal from participating in several Plein Air painting festivals and I've learned even more from my group of painter friends.
